Fun Book!

I had the privilege of being in Mrs. Wheaton's literature class at OSU. She had mentioned she co-authored a book with Fresch and I was interested. In this book you will find some very interesting information on the origin of words. This book is well worth the $11 or so to buy it. It also has some useful memorization strategies pertaining to words. Highly recommend!

Yes, Spelling Counts!

This book has a lot of etymologies for words and is helpful in grouping together words with similar roots. If students know these roots, they will have increased their vocabularies exponentially, and spelling will become much easier, too. The answer to the question, "Does spelling count?" becomes self-evident.

Great book with lots of good info on the older ...

Great book with lots of good info on the older bikes...even better yet if you have one of the bikes that he goes into more detail on such as the XR400 or older KDX200. There isn't much content on the newer four strokes. It'd be great if he came out with an updated or new version for the newer bikes.

Gorr's Performance Handbook attempts to cover a huge amount of material -- essentially every aspect of motocross tuning. That's a lot for any single author, especially in a single book. The result is a lack of thoroughness and detail on certain topics. Four stroke motors, for example, are neglected in comparison to his sections on two stroke motors. The book is an updated version of Gorr's older book directed at two strokes.

Still, I like the book because there is nothing else like it. I use at a starting point for tuning information, then follow up with more detailed sources. The chapter on chassis and suspension tuning is my favorite because there is so little information available on this topic.

I can recommend it as an introduction to performance tuning. You will need more info down the road. It was fun to read despite its shortcomings.

Muy buen libro. La forma en que pone en perfectiva el hecho de que los videojugadoras están mejor preparados para enfrentar "la vida" y las ventajas que esta forma de vida les da en lo laboral tiene mucha lógica.
Entre más lo leía, más orgulloso me sentía de pertenecer a la generación gamer.
Lo veo también muy útil para todas aquellas personas que trabajan o desean trabajar en la industria de los videojuegos pues muestra las tendencias de los mercados emergentes, es decir, prepara el terreno para aquellos que están trabajando en estudios de mercado referente a los videojuegos (con la finalidad de desarrollarlos).
